BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- Police are investigating the death of a man found in an elevator shaft of an apartment building in Beverly Hills Thursday night. Investigators are calling it an industrial accident.

The elevator technician's body was discovered at about 8:50 p.m. on the ground floor of the building in the 400 block of South Rexford Drive.

Officials from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the elevator company also responded to the scene.

The man's identity has not been released.
