Man found shot to death in Pomona alley

POMONA, Calif. (KABC) -- A 23-year-old man was shot to death in Pomona Sunday afternoon.

Authorities received reports of possible shots fired in the 1500 block of San Bernardino Avenue around 6:30 p.m. While they were heading to that location, they received information about a victim from dispatch.

Officers headed to the 1700 block of Appleton Way and found a man dead in an alley. He was later identified as Nicholas Anthony Pletcher, police said.

Authorities said two men in their 20s were seen heading westbound on San Bernardino Avenue. No further information was released.
