Man injured in stabbing outside LA Fitness in North Hollywood

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A 50-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the torso outside an LA Fitness gym in North Hollywood on Sunday.

The incident occurred in the parking lot of the gym in the 13000 block of Victory Boulevard at about 10:40 a.m. The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where he was in stable condition.

The suspect, a man between the ages of 45 and 60, was seen leaving in a dark SUV with out-of-state plates.

Authorities say it was not yet known if the victim or suspect were coming from the gym. The motive for the attack has not been determined.

Los Angeles police were on scene to investigate.
