Man on bicycle shot to death in Commerce; investigation underway
An investigation is underway after a man riding a bicycle was shot to death in Commerce early Tuesday morning.

COMMERCE, Calif. (KABC) -- An investigation is underway after a 19-year-old man was shot to death while riding his bicycle home from work in Commerce early Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred shortly before 3 a.m. in the 5900 block of Eastern Avenue. The victim's body was found on the sidewalk.

Sheriff's investigators said the victim was riding a bike when he was shot in the upper torso.

The victim was identified as Bryan Hernandez. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made.

Sheriff's officials on scene appeared to be surrounding a vehicle, but that car's involvement in the incident was not clear.

Eastern Avenue in the area was shut down for investigation.

Authorities said they plan on looking at surveillance footage form surrounding businesses for clues.
