ARLETA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man was shot in Arleta blocks away from a McDonald's on Monday, prompting an investigation.
According to police, the man was shot in a parking lot at the corner of Arleta Avenue and Van Nuys Boulevard. He drove away, but eventually came to rest at a McDonald's near Van Nuys and Laurel Canyon boulevards after being unable to continue driving.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police first reported the man was shot at the McDonald's restaurant. They later clarified the location of the shooting. No one at the McDonald's was involved, police said.
