Man sought for attempting to kidnap woman in Pasadena
Pasadena police are searching for a suspect who attempted to kidnap a woman Friday night.

PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- Pasadena police are searching for a suspect who attempted to kidnap a woman Friday night.

Shortly after 10 p.m., a woman was walking home on Marengo Avenue at Penn Street when the suspect drove next to her and tried to start a conversation.

The woman ignored him, which prompted the suspect to stop, exit the vehicle and physically force her into the car. The suspect managed to get the woman into the front passenger seat and then closed the door.

Once he re-entered the car, the victim struck him in the face and groin area before fleeing. The man then drove off, heading northbound on Marengo Avenue.

He is described as black in his late 30s with a medium complexion and about 200 pounds. He is bald, clean shaven and was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. He was driving a newer model gray Honda CRV.
