Elderly couple found dead inside Camarillo home in suspected murder-suicide

CAMARILLO, Calif. (KABC) -- An older couple was found dead inside of a Camarillo home in a suspected murder-suicide, Ventura County sheriff's officials said.

Just before midnight Saturday, authorities received a call about suspicious activity in a home in the 2000 block of Paseo Noche.

When authorities arrived, they found a man and woman, who both appeared to be in their 70s, dead in one of the bedrooms of the home.

It was unclear how the couple died, but authorities said the incident appeared to be a murder-suicide based on evidence gathered at the scene.

Investigators said the couple's daughter, who lives at the home, called in when she discovered her parents bodies.

The investigation was ongoing.
