Memorial grows in Koreatown for victims of Palm Springs bus crash
Friends of people who died in the Palm Springs tour-bus crash gathered to mourn the victims in Koreatown, where the bus was supposed to arrive on its return to Los Angeles.

KOREATOWN, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A memorial is growing in Koreatown to victims of the tour-bus crash in Palm Springs. The bus was supposed to arrive there near Vermont Avenue and Olympic Boulevard upon its return to Los Angeles.

Thirteen people, including the bus driver, died and 31 others were injured Sunday morning when the bus crashed into the back of a semi-truck on the 10 Freeway north of Palm Springs, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Candles have been placed at the site where the bus was supposed to arrive as people mourned the loss of friends and family members.

Marta Lucero lost one of her close friends in the crash.

"She's my best friend for a long time," Lucero said. "Nice lady. Many people loved her. I am very sad, because she's like my sister."
