Missing elderly couple from Laguna Woods found safe in Las Vegas

LAGUNA WOODS, Calif. (KABC) -- An elderly couple who went missing from their Laguna Woods home last week has been found safe in Las Vegas.

Authorities said Monday that the couple appeared to be a little confused, but they were in good shape. Las Vegas was apparently their intended destination.

Carl Tarantino, 83, and his wife Theresa disappeared just after 8 a.m. Friday.

Police say both have varying degrees of cognitive issues and did not own cellphones.
