Missing toddler drowns in North Hollywood pool

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- Los Angeles police are investigating after a missing toddler drowned in a backyard swimming pool in North Hollywood Sunday.

Authorities responded to the 5900 block of Craner Avenue, near Oxnard Street shortly before 3:30 p.m.

Witnesses rescued the missing toddler, who was found pulseless and not breathing. The toddler was rushed to a local hospital in grave condition, where he was shortly pronounced dead.

The incident remains under investigation. No further information was released.
