MONTEBELLO, Calif. (KABC) -- A tennis coach at Schurr High School in Montebello was arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with one of the school's tennis players.

Monterey Park police say Van Phuoc Dang, 26, of West Covina, began having a sexual relationship with the student when she was just 14 years old.

The inappropriate relationship lasted for three years, and the crimes took place in Monterey Park, authorities said.

Dang has been charged with three felony counts, including lewd acts with a minor and sex with a minor in which the suspect is older than 21.

He is being held at the Monterey Park Police Department Jail on $100,000 bail.
