Mormon church burglary victims track down thief who stole laptops, cell phones

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KABC) -- Using the very items that were stolen, victims of a burglary at a Mormon church in San Bernardino tracked down the thief who took their laptops and cell phones on Saturday.

Witnesses said the burglars stole the laptops and cell phones from inside the church and some vehicles while the group was taking photos during a party at the Church of Latter Day Saints.

One victim said he used his iPhone tracker to find the suspect's location and called police. Officers arrived at the suspect's home and Tasered him when he resisted arrest.

The suspect was taken into custody.
