Murrieta Chevron gas station robber caught on camera
Police are searching for an armed suspect who robbed a Chevron gas station in Murrieta.

MURRIETA, Calif. (KABC) -- Police are searching for an armed suspect who robbed a Chevron gas station in Murrieta.

The incident happened Tuesday night on the 39400 block of Murrieta Hot Springs Road.

The suspect came in wearing a ski mask and pointed a gun at two employees. He demanded money and cigarettes.

The employees complied, and the suspect fled the scene eastbound toward Murrieta Hot Springs Road.

Police say he could be tied to a similar robbery at a Taco Bell restaurant on Madison Avenue on Jan. 13. In both cases, the employees were not hurt.

The suspect was described as 20 to 30 years old, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds. He had a thin build, blonde hair and acne on his face, according to police. He wore a black jacket, blue jeans and a black ski mask with a skull design on the front.
