No suspect found after standoff at Perris mobile home park

PERRIS, Calif. (KABC) -- Riverside County sheriff's deputies are searching for an armed suspect who robbed a Perris gas station at knifepoint.

Deputies said the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash during the robbery in the 300 block of San Jacinto and fled.

Investigators believed the suspect was at a nearby mobile home park. Deputies searched the residences for four hours and concluded the suspect had left the scene.

Two local schools were placed on lockdown as a precaution during the search.

Deputies said they have leads on the suspect's identity, but did not release any further information.
