NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles police were searching Sunday for a suspect involved in a hit-and-run accident in North Hollywood that left a person in critical condition.

A van travelling eastbound on Sherman Way made a turn and collided with a white pick-up truck at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Vineland Avenue and Sherman Way. The driver of the van fled on foot and has not been found.

The driver of the pick-up truck stayed at the scene. A passenger in the van was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
