Orange man hurt after escaping fire by jumping from 2nd story

ORANGE, Calif. (KABC) -- A man was hurt when he jumped from a second-floor window to escape a fire at an apartment building in Orange Wednesday night.

The three-alarm fire began on the second-floor of the building in the 2100 block of North Orange Olive Road just after 11:30 p.m.

Sixty firefighters contained the blaze in under an hour. The man suffered traumatic injuries and was hospitalized.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. A damage estimate was not immediately available.
