Ortega Highway reopens between San Juan Capistrano and Lake Elsinore after car crash

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. (KABC) -- The California Highway Patrol temporarily closed the Ortega Highway between San Juan Capistrano and Lake Elsinore after a car crashed into a power pole.

Lines were down across the highway, nine miles east of the 5 Freeway. Drivers were urged to use Route 91 through Corona, or Route 76 through Oceanside as detours.

The highway was reopened at 4:22 p.m. Details on the crash were not immediately available.
