Oxnard convenience-store robbers sought by police

OXNARD, Calif. (KABC) -- Oxnard Police are searching for two suspect who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint Wednesday night.

Officers responded to an armed robbery call at about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday at MGB Mart, located at 1055 S. Patterson Road. The clerk at the store told them two Hispanic males wearing black hooded sweatshirts and cloth face masks entered the store, brandished a handgun and demanded the clerk open the register.

The first suspect, who brandished the weapon, reached into the register and took an undisclosed amount of cash. The two suspects then fled on foot northbound on Patterson.

Both suspects were believed to be between 20 to 25 years old. The first suspect was 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 165 pounds. The second suspect stood 6 feet tall, weighing about 180 pounds.
