Panda cub Bei Bei takes first trip outside

WASHINGTON (KABC) -- Bei Bei, the giant panda cub at the National Zoo in Washington, has taken his first trip outside.

At first, the nearly 6-month-old cub seemed a little unsure, staying close to his mom, but that didn't last long.

Bei Bei got brave enough to climb a tree and play in the branches.

After about an hour of playtime, mom and Bei Bei went back inside.

The cub was also now eating solid foods. His favorite: sweet potato.
