Phone trackers help police nab suspects after Torrance T-Mobile store burglary

TORRANCE, Calif. (KABC) -- Police were able to nab a group of thieves after they allegedly stole nearly $50,000 in electronics from a T-Mobile store in Torrance - thanks to trackers on the stolen merchandise.

Police said the armed suspects walked into the store on the 4100 block of Pacific Coast Highway just before 6 p.m. Sunday and took 45 phones and an iPad.

The phones had trackers, and the four suspect were later found near Crenshaw Boulevard and Carson Street. Police described the suspects as three male adults and a juvenile.

The suspects led officers on a short pursuit, but they were eventually arrested.

All the phones and the iPad were recovered. No injuries were reported.
