Pico-Union hit-and-run suspect sought
Police are asking for the public's help in finding the hit-and-run suspect who severely injured a pedestrian in the Pico-Union neighborhood Sunday.

PICO-UNION, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police are asking for the public's help in finding the hit-and-run suspect who severely injured a pedestrian in the Pico-Union neighborhood Sunday.

Juan Mendoza, 48, was struck at the intersection of Vermont Avenue and Venice Boulevard around 2:45 a.m. Mendoza was hospitalized for treatment of injuries including a broken leg, head trauma and internal bleeding.

The suspect's vehicle was described as a dark-colored Honda Accord. Investigators believe the vehicle may have front end damage and a broken windshield. No further details have been released.
