Pursuit suspect taken into custody in Lincoln Heights

LINCOLN HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles police took into custody Thursday a man who led officers in pursuit, crashed into another car then fled on foot in Lincoln Heights.

Officers began pursuing a reckless driver in a silver Mazda at about 6:35 p.m. The chase ended minutes later when the suspect crashed into another vehicle. No injuries were reported in that crash.

The suspect fled on foot. Police set up a perimeter near Alhambra Avenue and Workman Street and were searching the neighborhood with K-9 teams. They took the suspect into custody without incident before 10:30 p.m.
