Riverside school closed due to leak of unknown substance
Abraham Lincoln High School in Riverside was closed on Monday after a leak of an unknown substance.

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KABC) -- Abraham Lincoln High School in Riverside was closed on Monday after a leak of an unknown substance, and nearby residents were ordered to shelter-in-place.

Authorities say the leak was coming from a cylinder in the back of a home in the 2800 block of 13th Street.

A firefighter, three police officers and seven citizens were taken to an area hospital to be evaluated for possible exposure to the unknown gas.

The area was reopened around 11 a.m. after crews contained the leak.
