Rose Parade floats get finishing touches on New Year's Eve
Volunteers put last-minute touches on Rose Parade floats on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015.

IRWINDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- A day before the Rose Parade, volunteers are working feverishly to get all the floats being displayed on New Year's Day ready for the spotlight.

Volunteers are working quickly to get every last flower, seed and bean glued to the floats.

"It's organized chaos, but it's going to be ready. We're actually ahead of schedule on our float. And we have expert decorators, our decorators come back year after year," Karen Libs with Paradiso Floats said.

One float decorator said 15,000 man hours went into decorating just one float.

As the volunteers continue their work, thousands lined up to see the finished floats.

"It's very pretty. It's amazing all of the different kinds of flowers there are and the greens. So I also noticed that the background is all painted behind the flowers so if there's something they missed everything shows," Jane Nuss, who is visiting from Iowa said.

"TV does nothing for it, they're beautiful, just beautiful," Mary Clark, also from Iowa said.

At Fiesta Parade Floats in Irwindale, they already completed all 11 of their floats. The team said for 364 days they've been planning, building and decorating.

"You know it's a great deal of pride because everybody here at Fiesta Parade Floats, our year round staff, as well as all the volunteers, from the decorators and the other part-time seasonal people come in and help us put these floats together. It's quite impressive to create something that makes people smile," Tim Estes with Fiesta Parade Floats said.

The 127th annual Tournament of Roses Parade airs live on Friday at 8 a.m. on ABC7.
