Sacred Heart Church, School in Covina vandalized; classes canceled
Sacred Heart Catholic Church and School in Covina was vandalized overnight, which caused school administrators to cancel classes Tuesday.

COVINA, Calif. (KABC) -- Sacred Heart Catholic Church and School in Covina was vandalized overnight, which caused school administrators to cancel classes Tuesday.

The unknown culprits spray painted vulgar words and drawings of body parts on the outside of several classrooms on the campus. Religious statues were also spray painted. The damage is estimated to be about $600, school officials said.

The case is under investigation and classes are set to resume Wednesday.

Authorities do not have a description of the suspect or suspects and are asking for the public's help.
