SANTA MONICA, Calif. (KABC) -- Santa Monica police are searching for a man who assaulted a woman as she walked to her car on July 9.
The incident occurred in a parking garage in the 2200 block of Colorado Avenue at about 5:45 p.m. The victim was able to fight off the suspect. He then fled the scene.
The suspect was described as a white male, between 30 and 40 years old, standing about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin face and a pointy chin. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black baggy pants, a black baseball style cap, black sunglasses and a black backpack.
Santa Monica police are warning people in the neighborhood to watch their surroundings in and around cars and parking garages.
