Pedestrian struck in Mission Hills; search for driver

MISSION HILLS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police are searching for the driver who slammed into the pedestrian in Mission Hills and took off Tuesday night.

Authorities say the incident happened at the intersection of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Fox Street around 9:20 p.m. The suspect was traveling northbound on Laurel Canyon Boulevard when 39-year-old Richard Ulloa of San Fernando was struck.

Ulloa was rushed to a local hospital, where he is in critical condition.

The suspect's vehicle was described as a white Honda hatchback, early 2000 model, with possible front-end damage.
