SYLMAR, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A second man has been charged in the murder of Army veteran Francisco Garcia, who was fatally shot on Nov. 9 outside a party in Sylmar.

Jerry Raymond Carmona, 26, was charged with one count each of murder and attempted murder, with an allegation that the shooting was committed for the benefit of a criminal street gang.

Carmona, an alleged gang member, pleaded not guilty on Monday.

Garcia, 21, was fatally shot Sunday, Nov. 9, after a dispute broke out during a party near his girlfriend's home near Dronfield Avenue and Astoria Street around 2 a.m.

Vincent Anthony Estrada was charged on Nov. 13 with one count each of murder, attempted murder and discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, with the gang enhancement. He pleaded not guilty.

Both men are scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 18.
