NEWHALL PASS (KABC) -- A small brush fire erupted in the Newhall Pass on the 5 Freeway just south of Calgrove on Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters responded to the brush fire creeping up the hill just before 2 p.m. Flames burned about one acre, and no structures were threatened.
The blaze was knocked down in about 20 minutes, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Keith Mora said.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
