South Hills High in West Covina evacuated due to bomb threat
South Hills High School in West Covina was evacuated Friday after the school received a credible bomb threat.

WEST COVINA, Calif. (KABC) -- South Hills High School in West Covina was evacuated Friday after the school received a credible bomb threat.

The incident began just before noon. Students were taken to nearby Barranca Elementary School.

Mesa Elementary School was also evacuated to Barranca Elementary School as a precaution due to its proximity to South Hills High School.

Police searched South Hills High School and Mesa Elementary School as well as a precaution, but nothing was found.

Cameron Avenue at Inman Road, Barranca Street at Cortez Street and Cameron Avenue at Barranca Street were all temporarily closed.
