Southlanders coping with rainstorm
Some Southern Californians weren't intimidated by another rainstorm sweeping through the region Friday, as they walked their dogs, exercised and appreciated the precipitation.

VENTURA, Calif. (KABC) -- Rain washed over the Southland on Friday, sweeping in from the north and giving the region a good soaking.

The rain drops fell first in parts of Ventura County, where some people simply appreciated the needed break from Southern California's long drought.

"I love it," said Renee Roth, who was out walking her dog near the Ventura pier. "I live in Ojai and we need more and more rain. This is wonderful to be out here, getting wet."

The rain was expected to continue through Friday evening, mostly clearing up by Saturday.
