Stolen car chase ends in crash in Silver Lake

SILVER LAKE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A parolee was arrested on suspicion of stealing a car and leading police officers on a short chase through Silver Lake Sunday morning.

Authorities said the call came in around 1:30 a.m. near Lincoln Park Avenue and Mission Road in Montecito Heights.

The car was reported stolen. During the chase, the driver ended up losing control of the car and flipping near the north 101 Freeway on-ramp.

The driver was taken into custody. Authorities said no drugs or alcohol were involved.
