COMMERCE, Calif. (KABC) -- One man died and two others were injured in a street racing accident in Commerce Thursday night.

Authorities say the accident happened just after 10:30 p.m. in the 5500 block of East Washington Boulevard. Deputies say the driver of an Acura Integra was racing another vehicle when it lost control and broad-sided a palm tree.

Three men were ejected from the Acura. They were rushed to a local hospital, where one man later died. He was identified as 19-year-old Isaac Garcia of Maywood. It was not yet known if he was the driver or passenger.

The second vehicle in the race fled the scene after the Acura hit the tree.
