FULLERTON, Calif. (KABC) -- Fullerton police are investigating a string of robberies, with the latest one reported Tuesday night.

The most recent robbery occurred on the 1200 block of Crestview Drive around 9 p.m. Authorities are trying to determine if it is connected to six other robberies in the area.

Three of the crimes happened on Sunday night. In the first incident, the suspect targeted a home on the 1500 block of Avenida Selva, where he pointed a gun at a couple and demanded cash. The couple gave him the money and he took off. Police say the suspect entered the home through a partially opened garage door, and that seems to be the case in the other robberies as well.

As police were investigating the first robbery, they learned about the second one on the same street. The woman in that case was in her kitchen when the suspect entered her home, pointed a gun at her and demanded money.

Later that night, the robber got into a garage door of a home on the 2600 block of Trieste Way as a couple was coming home. He threatened them with a gun and demanded the woman's purse.

Police say there were three other robberies about six weeks ago. A detailed suspect description was not available, but authorities say he was white or Hispanic, stood about 6 feet tall and weighed about 180 pounds. The robber was wearing a gray hooded sweater and a bandana during the robberies on Sunday. He was carrying a black semi-automatic handgun.

Anyone with information was asked to call Fullerton police at (714) 738-6753.
