Suspect arrested in murder of Redlands teen

REDLANDS, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspect was arrested Thursday in the murder of a 17-year-old boy in Redlands.

Marcus Green was found dead in an alley in the 1000 block of Post Street on Wednesday, police said.

Erlindo Rodriguez Jr., 34, of Redlands, was arrested in Green's murder. Rodriguez is being held without bail.

Word of the arrest came the same day family and friends gathered for a vigil for Green, who was a student at Redlands East Valley High School.

So far there is no information on a motive. Further details are being withheld, pending an investigation, police said.
