SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspect has been arrested in a hit and run that left a grandmother dead in San Clemente last year.

Kelly Michelle Wolfe, 46, was arrested outside of her Capistrano Beach home Tuesday. She was booked on charges of second-degree murder, DUI and felony hit and run, the Orange County Sheriff's Department said.

Marthann Demchuck, 76, of Monrovia, died after being struck as she crossed Camino Capistrano with her 13-year-old grandson on July 4, 2013, authorities said. Demchuck was pronounced dead at the scene. Her grandson was injured and treated at a hospital.

Wolfe is being held at Orange County Jail on $1 million bail. She is expected to be arraigned Thursday.
