Suspect attacks man with machete in Crenshaw area
A 35-year-old man was attacked by a man with a machete in the Crenshaw area Monday, Los Angeles police said.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A 35-year-old man was attacked by a suspect with a machete in the Crenshaw area Monday, Los Angeles police said.

Authorities responded to the 5000 block of Rodeo Road around 9:49 a.m. following a report of an attack with a deadly weapon.

The victim suffered a laceration to his head and was conscious and breathing when paramedics arrived. He was rushed to a local hospital in unknown condition.

The suspect fled in a vehicle. A description of the suspect was not immediately available.
