Suspect fires gun into ceiling before robbing San Bernardino restaurant
Police are seeking a man who fired his gun into the ceiling of a San Bernardino Farmer Boys restaurant before robbing the registers.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KABC) -- San Bernardino police are looking for a man who fired a gun into the ceiling of a Farmer Boys restaurant and then forced employees to empty the registers.

About a dozen customers were inside the restaurant Tuesday night, only blocks from the campus of Cal State San Bernardino. Though they were shaken up, none were injured.

"He came into the business, fired a round into the ceiling of the business, demanded some money," said Lt. Rich Lawhead with the San Bernardino Police Department.

"And then escorted the person working at the business to three different registers where they removed money from the registers and put that money into a bag and left the business."

The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic man, about 30 to 40 years old, about 6 feet tall and weighing 170 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a gray beanie, a bright yellow jacket, glasses and black jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call San Bernardino police at (909)384-5742.
