Suspect in custody after Koreatown barricade

KOREATOWN, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- LAPD officers took a barricaded suspect into custody in Koreatown Wednesday night.

Officers responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon suspect on the 900 block of South Ardmore Avenue at about 7:25 p.m.

A SWAT team was called to the scene.

The suspect was taken into custody shortly before 10:30 p.m. Further details were not immediately available.

The public was advised to avoid the area during the incident.
