Suspect wounded in Lakewood deputy-involved shooting

LAKEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- A male suspect was transported to a local hospital following a deputy-involved shooting in Lakewood Tuesday afternoon.

The shooting in the 12400 block of 215th Street was reported at about 2:34 p.m.

No deputies were injured, Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies said.

CORRECTION: A press release released by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department initially said the shooting took place in Hawaiian Gardens. The department has since corrected the location to Lakewood.
