Suspicious package investigated in Westwood Village

WESTWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An LAPD bomb squad investigated a suspicious package in a vehicle near a federal building in Westwood Village on Wednesday.

Authorities say the call came in at 6:25 a.m. in a parking lot in the area of Wilshire Boulevard and Veteran Avenue. The bomb squad investigated the package, and nothing was found.

Veteran Avenue was closed south of Wilshire Boulevard for a short time, but it has since reopened.
