Suspicious suitcase in downtown LA prompts street closures

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Several streets in downtown Los Angeles were closed due to a suspicious package found near a bus stop Friday afternoon.

The Los Angeles Police Department Central Division responded to a call about a suitcase left near 7th Street and Broadway around 2:32 p.m.

Metropolitan Transportation Authority buses were diverted around the area as police investigated the scene.
