SEAL BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A 17-year-old boy was arrested after attempting to use a replica pistol to rob a gas station in Seal Beach Saturday night.
The incident occurred at Unocal service station in the 12000 block of Seal Beach Boulevard at about 11:58 p.m.
A clerk at the station allegedly grabbed the teenager's pistol at which time the suspect broke free and fled into a nearby Los Alamitos neighborhood.
The cashier and suspect suffered minor injuries, but did not require medical attention.
A Los Alamitos police officer located a teenager matching the description provided by the Seal Beach Police Department. The subject was detained and later determined to be the suspect wanted for attempted robbery.
The suspect was booked at Orange County Juvenile Hall on one charge of attempted armed robbery.
