EAST HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Firefighters extinguished a truck that engulfed in flames following a multi-vehicle crash in East Hollywood on Sunday night.

The fiery wreck happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 5000 block of W. Sunset Boulevard, according to Los Angeles County fire officials.

Three cars and the unoccupied truck were involved in the crash, and nearby businesses were temporarily threatened by the flames, fire authorities said.

A nearby palm tree was ignited by the fire, and a pharmacy had superficial damage from the fiery crash.

The blaze was knocked down 10 minutes after firefighters arrived to the scene.

A woman from one of the cars suffered minor injuries and was transported to nearby hospital. No other injuries were reported.

Sunset Boulevard was fully closed in both directions between Normandie and Mariposa avenues.
