Two children found dead in freezer, mother in custody

DETROIT, Mich. -- Detroit Police Chief James Craig confirmed that the bodies of two children, a boy and girl ages 11 and 14, were discovered inside a freezer on the east side of the city, on Tuesday morning, March 23, according to ABC affiliate WXYZ.

The bodies were found inside bag and an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

The discovery was made when a court officer arrived at the home to serve an eviction notice.

The mother is currently being questioned by police as a person of interest. No names have yet been released.
