UPLAND, Calif. (KABC) -- Parents and students took to the streets of Upland Friday to ask for increased safety measures at an intersection where an 11-year-old was killed in a hit-and-run crash.
"This could be anyone's child, grandchild or brother, and it's senseless," the boy's grandmother Tamara Strong said.
Strong was among a group asking for more police presence, speed bumps and crossing guards.
Resident Teresa Holden said the intersection was dangerous and witnessed another accident Friday afternoon.
"Just like that, not paying attention, not keeping their eyes on the road," Holden said.
The alleged driver involved in Thursday's fatal crash, identified as Jason Fehr, 25, of Rancho Cucamonga, will likely face hit-and-run charges.
