ORANGE, Calif. (KABC) -- An Orange couple is seeking the public's help after thieves drove away with their work van filled with $20,000 worth of equipment and tools.

Neighbors' surveillance cameras caught the crime around 1:45 a.m. Sunday. A carjacker is seen flipping on the van's lights and driving away behind the car the thief drove up in.

The owners of the van, Vera and Dave Turner, said they use the van for their new plumbing business and they spent their life savings on loading it with equipment. The couple is also expecting a baby.

"It's supposed to be a happy time for us right now with the baby on the way and just amazing new beginnings. We're just hoping that with sharing our story that at least if we can get his van back, just something, to be able to start again," Vera Turner said.

The couple says their friend's plumbing business was hit weeks ago.

No witnesses have come forward. Orange police are investigating the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Orange Police Department at (714) 744-7444.
