TORRANCE, Calif. (KABC) -- Vandals once again struck at a miniature railroad in Torrance, damaging the property for the sixth time in three years.
Taggers spray-painted gang signs on the walls of a storage unit that houses replica trains at Southern California Live Steamers and tagged a tunnel that the trains use, among other damage.
The nonprofit group, which has been around for 75 years, operates a 5-acre miniature railroad that gives free rides to the public several times a month.
Club member Andy Zander said the group has tried to improve safety every time vandals have struck.
"it's over and over again," Zander said. "And over time when it happens we learn and we try to make it better - harder for them to come in. And they up the ante they get more aggressive."
The club filed a police report in this case, like they have in all the other cases. They say they know police are doing what they can to find the person or people responsible for the crime.
