VIDEO: Man opens fire on deputies after high-speed chase in Ohio
Authorities said 28-year-old Travis Wickline opened fire on a deputy during a high-speed chase in Sidney, Ohio.

SIDNEY, Ohio (KABC) -- Dramatic dashcam video captured a high-speed chase suspect opening fire on deputies in Ohio.

ABC affiliate WRGT in Dayton, Ohio, reported the shooting happened after a chase reached speeds of 100 mph Monday evening.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office said 28-year-old Travis Wickline, of Charleston, West Virginia, stole a car at gunpoint in Sidney, Ohio.

When deputies attempted to pull the stole vehicle over, the sheriff's office said Wickline rammed the cruiser, injuring the deputy inside.

When another deputy got Wickline to pull over, authorities said Wickline stepped out the car and opened fire. Dashcam video from the cruiser captured bullets hitting the hood of the vehicle as the deputy took cover.

The chase ensued again, and deputies said Wickline stopped and allowed a woman, identified as 31-year-old Ashley Wayson, also of Charleston, West Virginia, out of the vehicle as he attempted to flee the scene.

Deputies said after Wayson was in custody, she was able to point authorities to a trailer park where Wickline would be hiding and he was taken into custody.

Officials said Wickline would face charges of attempted murder, kidnapping, felonious assault, grand theft auto, and more.

Wayson faces charges of obstruction of justice, according to authorities.
