WATTS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Two separate shootings that occurred less than an hour apart left one woman dead and four people injured near the Imperial Courts public housing area in Watts Sunday night.

The Los Angeles Police Department said three people were wounded in the first shooting around 8:30 p.m. near Mona Boulevard and 115th Street.

Less than an hour later, a gunman inside a vehicle opened fire at the intersection of 114th Street and Croesus Avenue, killing 30-year-old Samieke Griggley. A male victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Police say the suspect drove away in an unknown direction.

The LAPD says the two shootings are unrelated. Anyone with information was asked to call police at (877) LAPD-24-7.
